Sexing Leopard Tortoises

Leopard tortoises are usually sexable at about 6 to 9 inches in length, which is about four to five years old.

The easiest way to determine their sex is to look at the tail: Males have a much longer tail than females.  Also males have a slightly concaved plastron.
